The eyes should be the element of the face that is noticed first and gets the most attention, followed by the mouth. But if is your nose that is the most noticeable part of your face getting all the attention, and if there is not much that can be done with creative make-up, you might consider correcting this with a procedure called rhinoplasy, often referred to as a nose job.

A well formed nose ties the other elements of the face, eyes and mouth, together in a harmonious whole.

Many people feel uncomfortable about the size or shape of their nose and are therefore self-conscious about their appearance. Many others suffer from breathing difficulties due to insufficient air passage in the nose. Surgery to reshape the nose, or rhinoplasty, is one of the most common cosmetic procedures used today. This surgical procedure can produce changes in the appearance, structure, and function of the nose. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip, narrow the width of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. This operation can help correct birth defects, nasal injuries, and help relieve some breathing problems.

Rhinoplasty surgery is customized for each patient, depending on his or her needs. At your initial consultation, Dr. Orloff will discuss with you desired goals, and together agree on a treatment plan to best meet those goals. There are various procedures utilized to carry out this type of procedure, and Dr. Orloff will make a recommendation depending on the desired outcome.

Dr. Orloff is an expert in nasal enhancement and reconstruction procedures for sculpting a nose that looks beautiful, natural and proportioned to the individual face. As a result of his specialty training in facial surgery at UCLA, he is often called upon to correct birth defects and structural injuries. Many of his rhinoplasty procedures also involve correcting a previous procedure or re-doing a procedure performed by another surgeon to create the appearance of the nose desired by the patient.
